Article Submission Creates Traffic To Your Site

August 9, 2009 by Jannie Strickland · Leave a Comment

Looking for a new way to increase business and get more organic traffic to your website? Article submission can be one of the most effective internet marketing tactics if you know how to do it. By submitting well written articles to article directories, you can increase awareness to your products and company quickly.

The first and most important component to article submission is quality. Whether you are writing the articles or you’re using a freelance writer, you need to make sure your articles are presentable. When you’re going to submit articles, always make sure that your articles contain good grammar. Perfect spelling and punctuation are very important, as well. If you’ve got someone writing for you, make sure the article submitter knows what you’re looking for.

Check your grammar. Always make sure to check and double check your articles before you submit them to a directory like ezine articles. Once your articles are submitted and able to be viewed, it’s too late to try to make changes. Although you’ll physically able to do so, your reputation may already be tarnished if you’ve got spelling errors or improper English.

If you, yourself, would not read the article, it’s time to trash can it and start over. Article submission can breathe life into your site but it can also drive a nail in the coffin if you’re not careful.

A good article is key word rich and non repetitive. It is best to use a density of up to 4% for most topics and articles that are 300-500 words long. Anything more and it will just seem like you’re dropping names for the sake of product endorsement. While that’s exactly what you’re doing, you should try to disguise this fact and make your articles informative.

Always make sure that you are accurate with the details you give in your articles. You are trying to gain recognition and acceptance so be thoughtful with your articles. Give the people what they want and need and hopefully, you can back link them to your website. If you go about all of this the right way, you’ll gain loyal customers from your well written articles.

Make sure to include a resource box on all of your articles. You can create back links to your site and products this way, without anyone suspecting your attack. Get attention with well written articles and lure traffic to your site. You’ll increase profits with these clearly executed methods.

Choose the right words and the right key word density and you’ll be on the right track. Many people don’t think about their article titles. It’s easy to just throw a few words together and hit submit, but you need to give careful consideration to your titles. If someone is presented with a long list of articles on any given topic, they’re likely to browse quickly for the titles that most grab their attention.

Article submission will get you the best results for your marketing efforts. If you make sure that you give plenty of good information and present it in a flowing manner, you will gain noticeable traffic to your site. Always be sure that your article submissions are pristine and you’ll get approved every time.

By submitting articles onto other websites you can draw traffic to your website. Try searching with terms like “Article Submitter For” and “Submit Articles Online” to get started submitting articles. “Top Article Submission” is another good search you can do.

Now that you’re promoting online, you need to grant your clients with direct contact to the status of their requests, specifically after those requests transport. You might minimize the number of hails and e-mails that you acquire from clients by permitting them to straight away check on a delivery. And anything that helps decrease your workload is a excellent thing!

This characteristic allows you to offer a benefit to the first bidder. For illustration, if the first individual to bid is additionally the triumphing bidder, you could offer that individual a ten per centum rebate or some other benefit.

We imagine that they’re missing a priceless possibility here. You should make good use of your clients’ instant presence by showing off the objects that you have for sale online, whether these objects are part of your online inventory or exclusive objects that you’re promoting through an online auction. Make certain that some online-only objects that you exhibit in-store are transparently marked with a note that affirms something like, “Hey, find me online.

Arranging your store so that clients might find everything you offer. Design a site that persuades your visitors to become clients. As a brick-and-mortar store, you possibly gave an awesome deal of focus and imagined to your store’s appearance.

Here are some other kinds of mal-ware, viruses, and annoyances that you should be conscious of: Computer viruses: Different from most viruses, a computer virus doesn’t need your help to spread. You don’t have to open an attachment or unintentionally launch a hurtful design.

Lengthened inventory: Bluntly, market stores traditionally have restricted ledge space. Conversely, a Web site could essentially home an infinite number of items - alright, possibly not infinite, although your option choice is usually a lot more than traditional brick-and-mortar locations. Items might even be requested and transported from a producer or supplier.

Everything before the period in the filename is entirely up to you. If you set up a page to vend tennis gear for illustration, don’t use something bizarre, like PHP. As an alternative, name this particular page tennis.

Enter the URL of the internet site you desire to assess in the text box, and click the Investigate URL button. The form is already filled in, so you don’t need to enter it. You have few choices for URLs to enter.

Doing so grants some spiritual attachment to your online store for your clients, like the attachment they now have while strolling in your store. Have printed duplicates of the newsletter accessible at the store. You might desire to contain a newsletter with some in-store buy.

Remember This About SEO

October 13, 2008 by Karen · Leave a Comment

What do you do when you are looking for something specific online?

Of course, you do what everybody does! You put a search into a search engine and see what shows up.

That is why Search Engine Optimization can be such a successful strategy for Internet marketers. If you can improve the volume and quality of traffic to your website from “natural” or “organic” search engine results you are much more likely to find success than from any other strategy. Online traffic is King. Big traffic, big sales. No traffic, no sales.

There are many SEO techniques and tips that can help you please the search engine but it may help to remember who your real customer is.

A problem that often happens when webmasters try to optimize for search engines is that they write for the search engine and they forget that search engines don’t actually read…people read. So even as we are thinking about optimizing our sites for the search engines we need to remember that the real customer, the real reader, and the really important factor that we need to write for, focus on and ultimately please is the people.

Back at the turn of the century (that would be around the year 2000 to 2001) there was a so-called “guru” who claimed to have all the answers when it came to optimizing for the search engines. His theory was something like this. Start with “keywords” and work on “keyword density”. Make your article exactly 4 paragraphs long and make sure that your keyword shows up exactly 4 times in every paragraph.

Well, I think it actually worked for awhile but not for long. Thankfully, the algorythms changed. The problem is that nobody wants to read something that is so contrived. Real people are reading your site and if you do happen to show up on top of the search engines but your site is total crap it still means “No Sales”.

So there is much more to it than keyword density but I will have to save the details for a later post (or posts).

Remember the real customer is not a search engine but a human being. Treat your website accordingly.

Search Engine SEO

September 25, 2007 by Karen · Leave a Comment

Every website owner wants to get their sites listed on the search engines as quickly as possible.  After all, it doesn’t matter how great your site is if no one can find it!  However, many site owners are not completely sure how to do accomplish this and often mistakes are made that could keep your site from ever being listed on the search engines.

Here are just a few tips and guidelines to follow in order to be successful at being listed in the search engines.

1.  Do not submit your URL manually to the search engines.  Also do not submit your site to a search engine over and over again.  It will only keep you from getting listed at all and it may prevent you from ever being listed.

Yes, Google, Altavista  and Yahoo all have options for you to manually submit your site.  But just because it’s there, it doesn’t mean you have to use it!  Through trial and error we have found that it is much more beneficial to allow the search engines to find your site organically through links and the normal process.

There are some things you can do to help this along though.

a.  Make sure that every page on your site is complete.  If any page on your site is not yet finished, the Search engine spiders will skip right on by and you will be waiting for the next time around.

b.  Make sure that your site is not full of spam and/or the excessive use of keywords.  The search engine spiders can spot a site that is abnormal in its use of keywords and spam and your site will be skipped over again and again.

2.  Use keywords to get the spiders to come to your site.   But be careful to use them sparingly and within reason.  The search engines love a site with good, well-placed and well-used keywords and key phrases.  But the keywords need to be part of the communication process of the site and not just for getting the attention of the spiders.  Try to write your article just naturally as you would normally speak.  You can then go back and count the keywords and key phrases and add them where it sounds appropriate.  When your article is complete, count the keywords and then divide that number by the total amount of words to get a percentage.  If your percentage is between 1-3% you article is probably right where it needs to be.  Anything less than 1% would need more keyword placement and anything over 5% would look too spammy.  When you are writing always remember that you are communicating to a reader.  Don’t write something so ridiculous that a normal reader would not be able to clearly understand  just to please the search engines.  Remember the reader, the search engines do!

3.  Use links.  Having links from other sites and linking out to other sites will just help the spiders to locate you faster.  Linking is a win/win situation for all of the parties.  However do not have a separate page just for links or any kind of link exchange page.  The search engines really frown upon that now.

4. Put a blog on your site.  Blogs have become increasingly more popular and they are often listed on the search engines very quickly.  Google has been known to index a blog much faster than a regular site.  One of the advantages of a blog for the search engines is rapidly changing content.  Blogs are often indexed and listed within just a few days whereas a regular site would takes weeks, months or even longer.  It is definitely to your benefit to have a blog on your site.
Installing a blog is very easy.  All you have to do is install a program such as Wordpress on your website and then start making blog postings.  Install your blog today and watch how quickly your site becomes listed on the search engines.

If you apply these tips your chance for success in getting listed on the search engines will increase dramatically.

PPC Advertising - Making Your Business “CLICK”

July 10, 2006 by kevinlynch3 · Leave a Comment

PPC stands for Pay Per Click - a popular advertising technique on the Internet. Found on websites, advertising networks, and especially on search engines, PPC advertising involves sponsored links that are typically in the form of text ads. These are usually placed close to search results, where an advertiser pays a particular amount to visitors who click on these links or banners and land on the advertiser’s web page.In essence, PPC advertising is all about bidding for the top or leading position on search engine results and listings. Advertisers do this by buying or bidding on keyword phrases that are relevant to their products or services - the higher the bid, the higher the spot on the search results, the more the people will find the ad (and click on it) to go to their websites (this is why some people call it “keyword auctioning”). Advertisers would then pay the bidding price every time a visitor clicks through the website.

PPC advertising is also known under the following names/variations:

· Pay per placement
· Pay per performance
· Pay per ranking
· Pay per position
· Cost per click (CPC)

PPC advertising is usually done with the following standard procedures:

1. Setting up an account and/or deposit funds.

2. Creating a keyword list.

3. Choosing (and setting up) an account with a PPC search engine.

4. Bidding on the ad placement, including the search result words or phrases.

5. Writing out an ad copy.

6. Setting up the ‘landing pages’ for your ads.

7. Placing the advertisement in the search engine.

There are many benefits to Pay Per Click advertising, making it an effective way of promoting a business ‘online’. Some of them are listed below:

· Get launched immediately. PPC advertisements are implemented very quickly - they can go ‘online’ within an hour after winning the bid and paying for it.

· Obtain specific, pre-qualified, and quality traffic. PPC provides you with a quality or a well-targeted traffic. Visitors are narrowed down into ‘qualified’ people who are actually looking for specific products and/or services that you offer - those who are more likely to become a ‘lead’ (a convert) and complete a transaction (either by buying your product or subscribing to the service that you are offering.

· Widen your reach. PPC advertising provides additional traffic to your site, aside from the natural or “organic” search engines.

· Track your investment. PPC advertising makes use of a tracking system that will determine exactly who comes to the website and what they do once they arrive - the length of their stay on the site and the number of pages (including the actual pages) that they view. These are valuable tools in determining statistics such as return on investment (ROI), acquisition cost-per-visitor, and conversion rates (the percentage of visitors who are converted into customers or leads).

Below are some important things to consider when planning on a pay per click campaign:

1. Know your product. Take an inventory of the product and/or services that you have to offer (before anything else).

2. Stay within the budget. Determine your daily or monthly budget; and stay with it. This means keeping your budget in mind, avoiding bidding wars if possible.

3. Bid just right. Know how to bid right - a bid that is too high can exhaust all of your money, while a bid that is too low can make you lose that spot.

4. Watch the bottom line. Measure your profit margin against your spending or expenses. Know when to stop and terminate your PPC program - if you spend more on advertising but have little or no sales at all.

5. Find the right keywords. Decide which keyword phrases to opt and bid for. Do some keyword research, either by actually looking at existing search terms or with the use of online keyword suggestion tools, to know which terms are mostly used when searching for items that are related to your business. Focus on specific keywords, not on general ones.

6. Write effective ads. A good PPC ad is that which can persuade and move a searcher. There are several approaches to this:

· Discount offers
· Testimonials
· Celebrity/famous endorsers
· Money-back guarantees
· Free trials or sample offers
· Freebies
· Reverse psychology
· Major benefits (”Lose weight”)
· Direct instructions (”Click here”)

7. Maintain a professional-looking site. Your web content should be regularly updated and checked for spelling and grammatical errors. There should be no broken links or images. The website should be simple - designed in such a way that it will be easy for visitors to navigate and load. Include contact details to create a good impression among potential customers.

Done properly, PPC advertising can be an effective marketing tool that will maximize the return on your investment.

How to get listed in the search engines

May 22, 2006 by kevinlynch3 · 1 Comment

I’ve been getting listed in the search engines and getting free search engine traffic since 1998 when Excite was the one to be on top of. Today it is a lot different then back in 98, however it is not much different than 2 or 3 years ago. I’m sure you have heard of blog and ping and yes it will get you indexed, but what good does it do when your buried 1500 pages down the search engine.

The best way and the only way to make it in the search engines and to the first page is how many quality links are pointing to your site. I don’t care if your trying to get on top of Google, Yahoo, or MSN it comes down to how many quality links point to your site.

The first thing you can do is get your site listed in as many free directories as possible. Make sure they are search engine friendly directories. A good place to start is at http://www.best-web-directories.com

I believe the search engines are looking more and more to one way links and the link exchanges are on their way out. So what that meens is you are going to have to have good content on your site that people want to link to.

I’ll keep you up-dated on the engines right here as time progresses and things change.
