Search Engine SEO
September 25, 2007 by Karen · Leave a Comment
Every website owner wants to get their sites listed on the search engines as quickly as possible. After all, it doesn’t matter how great your site is if no one can find it! However, many site owners are not completely sure how to do accomplish this and often mistakes are made that could keep your site from ever being listed on the search engines.
Here are just a few tips and guidelines to follow in order to be successful at being listed in the search engines.
1. Do not submit your URL manually to the search engines. Also do not submit your site to a search engine over and over again. It will only keep you from getting listed at all and it may prevent you from ever being listed.
Yes, Google, Altavista and Yahoo all have options for you to manually submit your site. But just because it’s there, it doesn’t mean you have to use it! Through trial and error we have found that it is much more beneficial to allow the search engines to find your site organically through links and the normal process.
There are some things you can do to help this along though.
a. Make sure that every page on your site is complete. If any page on your site is not yet finished, the Search engine spiders will skip right on by and you will be waiting for the next time around.
b. Make sure that your site is not full of spam and/or the excessive use of keywords. The search engine spiders can spot a site that is abnormal in its use of keywords and spam and your site will be skipped over again and again.
2. Use keywords to get the spiders to come to your site. But be careful to use them sparingly and within reason. The search engines love a site with good, well-placed and well-used keywords and key phrases. But the keywords need to be part of the communication process of the site and not just for getting the attention of the spiders. Try to write your article just naturally as you would normally speak. You can then go back and count the keywords and key phrases and add them where it sounds appropriate. When your article is complete, count the keywords and then divide that number by the total amount of words to get a percentage. If your percentage is between 1-3% you article is probably right where it needs to be. Anything less than 1% would need more keyword placement and anything over 5% would look too spammy. When you are writing always remember that you are communicating to a reader. Don’t write something so ridiculous that a normal reader would not be able to clearly understand just to please the search engines. Remember the reader, the search engines do!
3. Use links. Having links from other sites and linking out to other sites will just help the spiders to locate you faster. Linking is a win/win situation for all of the parties. However do not have a separate page just for links or any kind of link exchange page. The search engines really frown upon that now.
4. Put a blog on your site. Blogs have become increasingly more popular and they are often listed on the search engines very quickly. Google has been known to index a blog much faster than a regular site. One of the advantages of a blog for the search engines is rapidly changing content. Blogs are often indexed and listed within just a few days whereas a regular site would takes weeks, months or even longer. It is definitely to your benefit to have a blog on your site.
Installing a blog is very easy. All you have to do is install a program such as Wordpress on your website and then start making blog postings. Install your blog today and watch how quickly your site becomes listed on the search engines.
If you apply these tips your chance for success in getting listed on the search engines will increase dramatically.

Writing content for SEO Optimization
September 22, 2007 by Karen · Leave a Comment
There has been an evolving consensus about how to best write your content to please Google and therefore get a higher search engine ranking.
You may remember the days when the “experts” claimed that your article must be keyword dense and structured in 4 exact paragraphs, each containing the keyword 3-4 times. There were precise instructions on how to please Google. I think it even worked for awhile.
But the problem was that it created a bunch a jumbled posts that no regular person wanted to read. While the webmaster was busily trying to please Google, they forgot that the true customer on the Internet is not a search engine but rather just an ordinary person out there in the world looking for information.
So while writing keyword dense articles was a successful SEO tactic for awhile, Google soon caught on and changed the algorhythms. No longer was it safe for your SEO efforts to optimize your sites for keywords. Many webmasters found this out the hard way as they saw their hard work relegated to the dreaded “Supplemental Results” or worse banned from Google completely. The question then became “what do we do now?”
Well, consider this. Google wants to please “Mr. John Q. Public” (or Ms. Public, you know). Google wants to provide good content that the average person on the street can benefit from. So how do you please Google? By remembering who the Ultimate user is. It’s not a search engine but rather it’s just an average person searching for information.

You will learn the exact method and you too, will be able to create that kind of traffic for your sites.
Stay tuned. The video will be coming out in the next few days.
10 Ways To Accelerate Online Profits

I know some of these look like no brainers but I see people doing it wrong all the time.
1. Make copies of your web site in many different
languages. This’ll allow foreign speaking people to
read your web site and advertisements.
2. Give your customers a surprise bonus for buying.
When you give customers more than they expect,
there is a good chance they will buy from you again.
3. Send greeting cards offline or online to customers
on holidays. You’ll get the chance to increase your
orders by including your ad inside the card.
4. Market your products or services to your target
audience. For example, don’t try to sell a football
in a cooking magazine.
5. Give people the option of buying other products
or add on products when they decide to buy your
main product or service at the point of sale.
6. Think of new ways to attract people to buy your
products or services. You could add on extra free
bonuses, delivery options, payments options, etc.
7. Give other businesses the option of selling your
product. It could be a simple joint venture deal or
an affiliate/associate program.
8. Follow-up regularly with all your prospects and
current customers. When people see your ad more
than once they are more likely to buy.
9. Learn sales ideas from reading and studying other
business’ advertising and marketing material. It
could be ads, brochures, tv ads, sales letters, etc.
10. Educate yourself with new strategies to increase
your sales. You could take classes, subscribe to
e-zines and magazines, read books or ebooks, etc.
Using Social Networking Websites to Promote Your Business
September 5, 2007 by kevinlynch3 · Leave a Comment
The goal of business owners is to make money. This often results with the selling of a particular product or service. However, to sell that product or service business owners need to alert their target audience of its existence, right? Customer cannot buy a product or a service if they don’t know about it.
Although social networking websites are traditionally focused on those that would like to make online friends or develop online relationships, there are networking sites that are designed for business owners. These websites will not only allow you to share your business information with other business owners, but will also allow you to develop close relationships with those that share an interest that is similar to yours. Essentially, this means that you could not only learn valuable business information, but you could also walk away with a new business partner or several new loyal customers.
And let’s be honest… even social networking sites that are not created to target business owners can be leveraged successfully because of the simple fact that large numbers of people visit these sites each day, and people love to buy stuff!
So it’s all really a simple matter of just getting involved and attracting to you the people who have an interest in the information, products, or services you want to share with them.
Why Social Networking Sites Are So Popular
It’s no secret. Social Networking sites have seen an explosion of popularity over the last year.
Again, there is nothing new about networking as a means to grow your business. This is exactly why people join the local Chamber of Commerce and similar organizations.
But the fact that the practice is now becoming so popular on the Web is really exciting. It represents a shifting in the way Internet users think, and a change in the way people are going to be finding what they are looking for in the years ahead.
When is the last time you searched for something on one of the major search engines and ended up extremely frustrated with all of the irrelevant results? It happens to me a lot.
But with some of the Web 2.0 sites – social bookmarking sites for instance – a user can search a topic and find results based on how many other members have tagged (or voted for) a particular website. So instead of relying on faulty software algorithms to return search results, Web 2.0 interfaces are now giving us a glimpse of what it would be like if our Web searches were based more on the human element.
Also, social networking sites are easy to use and understand, even for people who are not highly web savvy. Anyone can join MySpace and set up a profile. For this reason the number of people who flock to sites like MySpace, YouTube, etc. is only going to increase.
As more and more people become involved with the Web 2.0 systems, the number of people you can market to through these systems obviously grows. And you will be able to find an audience for any niche within these cyber communities.
Due to the well established profile system used by Social Networking sites, you can learn a little bit about a prospect before you ever make contact with them. If somebody looks like a good fit for the kind of information or products you are selling, you can simply invite them to be on your friends list so they can get a look at your profile and even follow links back to your website or blog.
Without social networking websites, you would have to find and connect with Internet users one at a time, often in chat rooms, and learn about their interests before deciding if they are a good fit for you. So social networking sites allow you to be more efficient by learning about another Internet user before ever having to make contact with them.
Another one of the many reasons why social networking sites are popular is because many are free to use. In fact, the majority of social networking sites, such as MySpace and Yahoo! 360, are completely free.
Even if a Web 2.0 site is fee, they will require that you register your name and contact info (standard account creation protocol) with them. This registration will not only allow you to create your own profile page, but it will also allow you to contact other networking members.
There are a few sites that charge a small fee to join, or offer upgrade options that give more benefits to paying members. If you like a site and believe there is value being offered you should invest in a paid membership, as doing so will encourage the growth of the community.
What is nice about paid online social networking websites is that many can be considered exclusive. Since most Internet users would not want to pay for something that they can get for free, most paid social networking sites are limited on the number of members they have. This may work out to your advantage because it tends to eliminate those who create fake accounts just for the purpose of spamming or flaming other members.
Social networking websites focus on meeting new people. It’s worth pointing out again that networking has been an integral part of business for centuries; the idea of meeting people and forming mutually beneficial relationships did not start with the World Wide Web, but thanks to the immense popularity of Web 2.0 concepts in the mainstream we are entering an era where we can really take our networking to the next level and well beyond.

The Law Of Abundance
September 3, 2007 by kevinlynch3 · Leave a Comment
Brian Tracy Says
We live in an abundant universe in which there is sufficient money for all who really want it and are willing obey the laws governing its acquisition.
There is plenty of money available to you. There is no real shortage. You can have virtually all you really want and need. We live in a generous universe and we are surrounded on all sides by blessings and opportunities to acquire all we truly desire. Your attitude, of either abundance or scarcity toward money, will have a major impact on
whether you become rich or not.
The first corollary of the Law of Abundance says that, “People become wealthy because they decide to become wealthy.” They become wealthy because they believe they have the ability to become wealthy. Because they believe this completely, they act accordingly. They consistently take the necessary actions that turn their beliefs into realities. And you can always tell what your beliefs really are by looking at your actions. There is no other way.
Develop unshakeable self-confidence, and become unstoppable in everything that you do. Brian Tracy explains how to become fearless in your work and personal life in the Science of Self-Confidence. To learn more, Use this link to learn more.
The second corollary of this law says: “People are poor because they have not yet decided to become rich.” In the book, The Instant Millionaire, by Mark Fisher, the old millionaire asks the boy who has sought his advice about becoming a millionaire, “Why aren’t you rich already?”
This is an important question to ask yourself. However you answer this question will reveal a lot about yourself. Your answers will expose your self-limiting beliefs, your doubts, your fears, your excuses, your rationalizations and your justifications.
Why aren’t you rich already? Write down all the reasons you can think of. Go over your answers one by one with someone who knows you well and ask them for their opinion. You may be surprised to find that your reasons are mostly excuses that you have fallen in love with.
Whatever your reasons or excuses, you can now get rid of them. The world is full of hundreds and thousands of people who have had far more difficulties to overcome than you could ever imagine, and they’ve gone on to be successful anyway. So can you.
Now, here are two things you can do to apply this law immediately: First, imagine that every experience you have ever had with money contained a special lesson that was designed just for you to help you to ultimately become financially independent. What are the most important lessons you have learned so far?
Second, analyze yourself honestly and determine your biggest block, your major self-limiting belief that holds you back from becoming more successful financially. Resolve to act from now on as if this block no longer exists.
