Writing Makes You Think Better
October 31, 2009 by Ada Ho · Leave a Comment
Putting down in black and white what you are thinking gives you a clearer picture of your train of thoughts. Take out a piece of paper, or simply turn on your laptop. You’ll find that as you write or type, new ideas will come rushing in.
Sometimes you may feel unclear about something, such as an idea, a topic or an experience, and you may want to figure it out. One way to do this is to transform your thinking into words. Everything becomes clear when you explain it.
Many people decide not to write unless they have completely understood their thoughts. This actually stops them from advancing. Just scribble whatever comes into you mind on a piece of paper and you will see how the ideas come together gradually. This is called ‘thinking on paper’. You would not want to risk losing any of the brilliant ideas by keeping them in your head. Record them on paper!
When you are writing what you are thinking, you are actually outlining the logic behind what you think or feel. During this process, your thoughts will become understandable. In this sense, your brain is exercising its “explain power”.
If you want to learn something better, you can write down all your ideas and notes in a journal. For instance, when you need to solve a problem, you can write down what you can do to tackle it. You don’t need to worry when you have no idea, you can just write down anything you think of, and make an explanation. Thinking on paper is really workable.
Writers are also doing the same thing. They learn as they write. You may think all writers have thoroughly studied whatever topic they are writing on before they even start drafting their first chapters. The truth is, writers often write a book on a particular subject because they cannot make sense out of the matter.
I know I have always believe in the concept of how writing helps one with his or her thinking. Now that I almost reach the end of this article I am writing, I actually understand it a lot better than when I started typing.
Some people do not like writing a book or an article. What I want to tell you is, you can just write something, it is not necessary to write a lot. Such as, if you learn something new, you can just write a letter about it to friends, and you can understand it better too! If you want to invent something, just write an explanation of the problem, and why it worths solving. You will discover more during your writing process. Do have a try in writing when you are thinking!

The Traditional Use Of Dairy Produce: Part 4 - Eggs (cont.).
October 30, 2009 by Owen Jones · Leave a Comment
Preparation Of Foods: Dairy Produce.
Eggs: Part 2
Poaching: boil 1.5 inches (40mm) water in a shallow pan; add 5 g of salt and 5ml of vinegar. Break an egg into a cup, inspect and pour into boiling water. Turn down the heat. Gather the white around the unbroken yolk with a spoon and continue to simmer for another 3-4 mins. Lift out with a draining spoon and serve on warm buttered toast.
Scrambling: beat the eggs well; add salt, pepper to taste and a dash of milk. Melt enough butter to cover the bottom of a small pan. Fry the eggs slowly, stirring constantly. Cook in a basin floating on boiling water, if preferred. Serve when almost completely set, in about 5 minutes.
Fried Eggs: Melt enough fat to easily cover the bottom of the frying pan. Tip the egg(s) in gently and fold the whites around the yolks. When the white has set, baste the yolk to your preference and remove whole with a fish slice.
Baked Eggs: lightly grease a fireproof dish and pour the egg(s) gently into it. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and butter to taste. Bake in a moderate oven and serve in the same bowl after the whites have set to your liking.
Omelettes: buy a pan and keep it just for omelettes! The base should be smooth and clean. Allow two eggs per person; whip lightly and add salt and pepper to taste. Heat enough butter to cover the bottom of a shallow pan. When the butter is fairly hot, pour in the beaten eggs; as it sets, lift the handle and draw the set mixture up towards the handle, allowing the liquid egg to run down onto the hot pan. When all the liquid has set, tilt the pan forward and roll the omelette over. Serve straight away on a hot plate. The omelette can be filled with almost anything, before being rolled up.
Pouring Custard: lightly beat 2-3 eggs for every pint of milk. Heat the milk and gradually pour over the eggs; add sugar and flavouring to suit your taste; heat in a double pan or jug and hot water until the required thickness has been reached. If it is not to be served up immediately, pour a thin layer of water onto it’s surface to prevent a skin forming on top.
Baked Custard: start as above but then transfer the custard into a lightly greased shallow dish; sprinkle sparsely with nutmeg and place the dish in water to halfway up its sides. Bake at 350 F for 35-45 minutes; you can test its solidity by inserting a knife, which should be clean on withdrawal.
Steamed Custard: as above, but cook in a steamer or pan of boiling water. Cooking time about the same.
Custard Tarts: pour pouring custard into unbaked pastry cases and bake in the oven for 40-50 mins. A little jam can be placed in the bottom of the case first, if desired.

About the Cricut Machines
October 29, 2009 by Mark Cartis · Leave a Comment
Paper crafting is experiencing a revolution with the introduction of the Cricut machine. It can be carried around to different places and does not need a computer to work. You do not loose features by having convenience either as it can cut an amazing range of letters, phrases and shapes. The only limit is you and your imagination!
Scrapbookers are particularly keen on the Cricut because of the professional look it gives their work and the speed in which it cuts. Reviews are positive, just check places like Amazon.com. It comes out as definitely ahead of other cutting machines that are out there to purchase.
The first machine is the Personal cutter and can cut images an inch in size up to five and a half inches. The machine takes thin papers as well as thick using a pressure dial to adjust to whichever you choose. Cartridges are varied and in large numbers letter or shape in themes.
The second machine is called the Expression and is particularly thought of as a huge benefit to teachers in the classroom as well as businesses from home. It has an extra cutting mat, 12 x12 and 12 x 24 inches to accommodate the extra sizes you can cut from a quarter of an inch to twenty three and a half inches. There is an LCD screen to view choices and language and measurement settings can be altered.
Finally in the range is the Create which took what buyers liked about the original (its portability) and what they liked about the Expression (its extra features) and put them together in one machine. It cuts a wider range than the Cutter but less than the Expression at 0.25 inches up to 11.5 inches. The mat is 12 x 6 inches and the extra features include Flip function, Auto Fill, Fit to page, Portrait and Center point. Plus the eight way directional blade, a larger LCD screen and a more modern look. As mentioned there are a large range of cartridges that can be used in all three machines as well as other extras like replacement mats and blades, hand tools and even a bag to put it in. Now is the time to make that purchase and improve your paper crafting.

Positive vs Negative Focus
October 28, 2009 by Jason Kendall · Leave a Comment
Look at any Best Seller list in bookshops today, and it’ll be populated with autobiographies of the rich and famous. From glamour models to footballers to empire builders, they all have a different story to tell, but each has a common thread - they overcame adversity by focusing on the positives.
This is the way the world works; to be achievers in life we must encourage positive reasons why ‘we can’ to flood our consciousness, and drown out negative excuses why we can’t.
This attitude to studying is paramount for the student. To successfully complete a training program, an optimistic mindset is the biggest tool in a trainee’s workbox. A positive approach brings about all sorts of possibilities, circumstances, answers and opportunities to achieve. By contrast, a pessimistic outlook blocks our learning receptors and thwarts creativity .
This is down to our Reticular Activation System - an automatic mechanism in our brain that tells us what to focus on. Throughout our lives, we’ve experienced many things that no longer stay in the forefront of our minds - the bulk of what we’ve learned moves from our conscious mind to our sub-conscious mind, a kind of store cupboard stocked up with all our past knowledge and beliefs.
When we attempt to do something consciously, our Reticular Activation System (RAS) will go through our sub-conscious mind for any associated information it holds, and bring it into focus. As we’re walking down a road, we’re made aware only of things that are relevant to us - anything else is just background noise.
This means that if our conscious mind has been regularly sending messages that are upbeat and positive to our sub-conscious mind, then that’s what it will transfer back. But if our sub-conscious has been given loads of downbeat and defeatist messages, then that’s equally what will be sent back.
It appears that achievers can manipulate the messages going through to their sub-conscious minds by deliberately programming their RAS, and selecting the exact messages the conscious mind transfers. For achieving goals this makes it an essential tool, because the sub-conscious mind can’t distinguish between real or imaginary events.
In other words, we need to create a very specific picture of our goal in our conscious mind. The RAS will then pass this on to our subconscious - which, as it believes everything it’s told, will then help us achieve the goal. It does this by making us aware of all the relevant information which otherwise might have stayed as ‘background noise’.
Napoleon Hill said that we can achieve any realistic goal if we keep on thinking of that goal, and stop thinking any negative thoughts about it. Of course, if we keep thinking that we can’t achieve a goal, our subconscious will help us not to achieve it.

Getting Back Your Ex And Keeping Them
October 27, 2009 by Niki Frost · Leave a Comment
The plan leading to getting back with your ex involves considering changes that will enable the relationship to work this go around. Consider any permanent changes that are needed prior to getting back your ex. Unless you believe the changes will be long-lasting, what is the reason to win back your ex.
My first suggestion for getting back your ex is to get in touch with them. You should start off by apologizing if you said some ugly things in a previous fight.
Asking your ex how they are doing can make the first meeting since the breakup a little easier on you. Future contacts should be slowly generated from the first contact.
My next advice will vary depending on whether your ex is a guy or girl.
Women are generally make decisions based on their emotions. To get your female ex back, you need to appeal to her feelings. You need to be respectful, and really listen to what your female ex has to say about your past relationship.
Make sure that your interest in her what she says is sincere and really means something to you. This will give you the opportunity to also notice her body language. Remember, her nonverbal signs and just as important as what she says.
Many guys battle to provide enough emotional support to their girlfriends, without being seen as a “pansy”. To stop you being portrayed as “soft”, be attentive, but a little detached.
If you want to try getting back you ex, who is a guy, you should try inviting to a romantic spot where you’ll both be able to enjoy a couple’s activity from your past. This will remind him of how much he misses being with you and all the things you shared.
Use this time to show him how much effort you have put into changing things that may have previously affected your relationship.
When you do make any necessary changes when getting back your ex, make sure they continue into your rekindled relationship. Otherwise, things will simply break down again and cause further heartache for you and your lover.

Legal Matters Regarding The Use Of Paper Lanterns In The United States
October 26, 2009 by Cody Scholberg · Leave a Comment
There are three elements of paper lanterns that can be customized: their size, colour and shape. Originating in Asia, especially countries such as China and Japan, paper lanterns have made it big throughout the world, reaching all continents. Their colour is a strong visual attribute, as are the shapes they can take; with paper lanterns, any room decor is bound to become more interesting. Should we be concerned about paper lanterns not being legal on the territory of the United States? As luck would have it, this is not an issue worth worrying about.
Even when their light is given out by burning candles, paper lanterns pose little threat. Caution is recommended to those decorating their homes with candle-lit paper lanterns; however, recent trends favour LED/light bulbs paper lanterns. This way, we no longer have to worry about a fire hazard. Used as sky lanterns or water lanterns (the famous tealights), these objects are often found at popular festivals. Powerful air currents increase the risk of fire when using paper lanterns, so it is important to pay close attention. Apart from this, we all have to admit that paper lanterns are eco-friendly, unlike other sources of light.
Imagine the night sky when suddenly several paper lanterns float up into the air, spreading their light all around. The truth is that people have found numerous uses for paper lanterns, decorating their homes with such objects, making them common items in festivals and putting all their trust into them to bring the peace they need. Businessmen have started to rely on paper lanterns as well, using them to present their line of work and draw attention to products available for sale.
There are not many lamps in the world that can create the same lighting and atmosphere as paper lanterns. It’s no wonder that so many cultures prefer to use them rather than traditional lighting methods. Paper lanterns are tasteful decorations which come in impressive forms, making everything look even more refined. A lovely setting becomes even lovelier with paper lanterns ‘thrown’ around.
Despite what many people think, paper lanterns can also be used as genuine light sources, and not just for decoration. They have a light that is not too tiring for the eye, instead having a calming effect. People often choose them for bedrooms or other spaces designed for relaxation, preferring paper lanterns as opposed to other sources of light.
What would you choose, especially now that you know that paper lanterns are legal?

Why Get Maternity Plus Size Bra
October 24, 2009 by Elle Ashley Love · Leave a Comment
The average woman puts on quite some weight especially during the 3rd trimester of the pregnancy. The ultimate challenge is to fit into a bra her body has overgrown. A badly fitted bra can lead to uneasiness, pain and sometimes affecting her mood. The serious issues can cause posture and backaches. Hence the importance of choosing a maternity bra is really so necessary.
A woman’s breasts grow bigger and heavier together with her gaining of weight during the last stage of pregnancy. Lacking proper support to the breasts may lead them to stretch and make you feel uneasy. That is the reason why you should wear a maternity bra over the bras you wear everyday. Pregnancy bras are designed for greater comfort levels and very importantly chest support.
Factors like hormones and food will have an impact on how a woman’s breasts expand over the different stages of her expectancy. Realizing your breasts growing bigger by a cup or two during the 3rd trimester should not be seen as a shock. That is where plus size plays its part. All about buying a plus size maternity bra is actually all about the correct size and comfortable level, and to get your bra size is easier than you think and the methods make no difference between before and after pregnancy.
Many women are reluctant to consider getting plus size maternity bras for factors like price and the constant changes in breast shapes. Still you should always keep in mind that getting bigger bras or even plus size bras can never substitute the advantages of what a maternity bra can bring, not to mention in the plus size section.
A quick note before ending this article. Bear in mind that no other person can decide what you wish to wear. Bras that you fit nicely into can bring sunshine to your day and possibly for the entire pregnancy. Your baby can only feel good inside you if you’re feeling the same too. So make that decision between joy and discomfort now.
Prior to making the next bra purchase, make sure you visit Elle Ashley Love’s tips on finding plus size maternity bras. Elle is a intimates lover and founder of IntimatesBras.com with the intention to benefit other women like herself.
